World Tiger Day!

hundred tigers are found in India. Therefore, the population of tigers in the world is under the constant threat of its extinction.

To protect this beautiful wildcat many countries are doing various campaigns. In 2010 at Saint Petersburg a decision was taken to celebrate this day 29th July every year as the world Tiger day.

Our nature is associated with food chain. Every animal, flora and fauna are depended upon each other for their survival. If any of the link is broken in this food chain it will result in a negative impact on the mother nature. Tigers are also part of this food chain. They must get ample opportunity to survive and live freely in their respective territories on this earth.

In 1973 project tiger was launched in India to protect the tigers from their extinction. The tigers in India are considered as a different species. The scientific name this species is “Panthera Tigress”. Among the Tiger’s nine species found in India unfortunately three are already extinct. Out of the remaining species the Royal Bengal Tiger is found all over India except the North eastern part of India. Royal Bengal Tigers are also found in the neighboring countries of India namely Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan.

In Madhya Pradesh, Kanha National Park and Bandhavgarh National parks are two most famous Tiger reserves in the world. Many Tourists from all over the world visit these tiger reserves to see this most beautiful animal of the jungle, walking freely in its glamorous cat walk. In India the history of tiger is associated with China. Recently it was discovered from the DNA of one of the superior bread of the extinct Tiger that the originally came from the central part of China. The way followed by those tigers to enter into India was know as the silk route after many centuries.

In Kanha at the Mukki zone the Tigers named “Red Eye” , “Kenkata” and the huge “Bhima” are only visible to the lucky ones. Most of the photographers like to click the family of the Tiger, actions of the tigers, the roar of the tiger, and the cat walk of the tiger.

The tiger named “Munna”is Kanha’s hero. The special thing in the tiger Munna is that the word CAT is written on forehead of Munna. When the Guides in Kanha call for this tiger by its name “Munna” it comes from out from its hideout. The tourist love to see the size and shape of this beautiful tiger.

In Bandhavgarh the tiger named “Bemera” is the hero. The tigress named “Sukhi Patiya” and her three cubs also attracts lots of tourist to Bandhavgarh National Park.
